The patient’s problem was a clearly discolored first tooth, which was a souvenir of root canal treatment. In addition, she wanted to change the color and shape of the remaining teeth. We proposed and performed teeth whitening using the overlay method and covering the discolored one with a blocker. The final harmonious shape was obtained thanks to the procedure of covering all upper teeth with a composite using the Flow Injection method, i.e. through the so-called bonding.
The patient came to the clinic to improve his smile. He wanted to improve both the shape and color of the teeth, as well as restore their proper function. Our first step was to complete a digital project. Later, the teeth of the lower jaw were whitened, on the upper ones we made composite reconstructions – the so-called bonding using the Flow Injection method.
Our patient wanted to see what her new smile would look like. We used the latest technological achievements: computed tomography, face and extraoral scans and digital smile design software. As a result, we were able to present a digital simulation. Then, we prepared test veneers with 3D printing for the patient. All this did not require a single invasive procedure!
After the digital metamorphosis of the smile, for which we used modern design technologies, the time has come for real changes. When the patient accepted the test veneers, we proceeded to make ceramic veneers, which are the target (final) veneers.
Dr Paweł Szuba-Paszkiewicz is an expert in the field of digital dentistry and prosthodontics.
He graduated from the Medical University of Wrocław, but it was only the first step on the path of development. Throughout his professional career, he intensively expanded his knowledge by participating in specialized courses and by working in his parents’ dental office. With family traditions and many hours of practice, he acquired valuable knowledge and skills, especially in the field of prosthetics. In this way, he gained experience, which later proved to be crucial and helped in solving difficult clinical cases.
The establishment in 2013 of the ESTETIQUE Centre for Implantology and Digital Dentistry in Polanica-Zdrój is a continuation of the 50-year family traditions of Dr. Paweł Szuba-Paszkiewicz. That clinic gained him a reputation, as evidenced by patients from all over Poland and Europe.
Dr. Paweł Szuba-Paszkiewicz has completed many courses and trainings, thanks to which he also realizes himself as a lecturer and consultant of such companies as Carestream Dental, Cerkamed, Harvard Dental, Lasotronix and Tokuyama. He is the author of innovative, digital work techniques, methods of taking impressions (DiaC-Traction), digital smile design with SDP or minimally invasive smile makeover methods.
